The Quay West location and buidlings are quite beautiful and make you feel like you don't want to leave. The beach was pristine and seemed magical under the full moon light. The reception area was impressive with it's large vaulted reclaimed timber roof and floating walkway over a waterway filled with ocean stones. The view over the ocean from the bar was amazing.
There are no privacy curtains over a quite public living room area and we felt exposed in a bad way. The heater never got hot enough and we half froze under the thin cotten blankets because there were no doonas. Had to sleep fully clothed with socks/hats on! We got ice cold hot chocolate from the lounge bartender. The wood floors were worn and the sofa & pillows were threadbare. Old technology TV in the room.
